I listened to story from a recovering addict. He said his switching point was when he looked in the mirror one day. He looked at himself and said “Hey! Your my best friend! I really care about you! Your always going to be there.” So he went about writing himself love letters. Then he realized he was an addict and couldn’t wait that long, so he ran down the street to a payphone, left himself a bunch of nice phone messages. Then he realized that wasn’t enough and ordered a balloon gram delivered to his house.

Now when ever he drinks a glass of water or goes about his day he says “I’m doing this for you buddy.”

What am I going to do because I care about myself?

• Drink a nice glass of water
• Do pull ups in the living room
• Go for a nice walk in the snow

When I watch the film Lolita I feel the desire for love without the burden. Love that makes you young again. As if the gently wisp of a hand across a young breast, down a gently back, squeezing the buttocks and snaking down the reflecting legs will make you youthful again. and joyous and excited to wake up, to jump to your feet and run and run and run.

But what do I mean by the burden? I’m talking about the paranoia, the suspicion, and of course the mistrust. It’s as if being young frees you from all of this. The pain, the suffering and ultimately the responsibility that a mature person carries. The bills, the laws, the dependence, the expectation, the promises, the ever present burden.

It’s impossible to act stupid as a child though. Creativity swearls through the mind. Possibility’s bubble over! Smiles burst as you walk outside. Sounds, reflections, and ideas are completely open and untarnished. Everyone seems to have your best interest in mind and they just want to give and give and give. That is innocence.

Young punx from my perspective are daring. Vicious. All out, all the time. Merciless. Willing to risk it all, and often do. They are sold out to themselves. Brave. Beautiful. Creative and they have created their own reality and refuse to step out of it.

and Just like innocence. If I can be with a young punk I will also embody all of those attributes.

Appears to not even acknowledge the existence of money yet provides for themselves effortlessly. I crush hard. The magical balancing act of Freedom and Security. Please, please let me sit next to you that your reality may rub off on me. Please.

The closer I moved to my crush. The more I look the gift horse in the mouth. I begin to see the rotten teeth, the decay, the stench. I feel thrown back through years of obsession. I am sick. The obsession over crushes I didn’t know, won’t know. I am reminded of a comment I heard once, “Sometimes fantasies are better left as just that.” I dip low reeling from the reality crash.

Armed men dressed as Mexican federal police officers entered a heavily guarded prison in the northern state of Zacatecas early Saturday morning and freed more than 50 inmates, many of whom were believed to be drug traffickers allied with the powerful Gulf Cartel, the authorities said.

The huge jailbreak, which took place about 5 a.m., was an embarrassment to the government of President Felipe Calderón, who has touted the arrests of thousands of drug traffickers over the last two years as evidence that organized crime groups were on the defensive.

The team of criminals who gained entry to the prison in Cieneguillas showed how vulnerable Mexican institutions remain.

The men arrived in a caravan of 15 vehicles with police markings as well as in a helicopter, according to news reports. To gain entry, the gunmen claimed that they were carrying out an authorized prisoner transfer.

After subduing the guards, they left with 53 of the prison’s 1,500 inmates, in an operation that lasted only minutes, officials said.

After they got away, police officers and soldiers swarmed the state, closing many roads as they searched for the fugitives, El Sol de Zacatecas, a local newspaper, reported.
